There is nothing like assisting transplants all night directly across from your program director to kick off second year. It’s all starting to feel real. @yalesurgres. Don’t worry Peter Yoo, I’m only pushing on the knot once from now on.

Successful conference!! ✅ Gave an oral presentation on my research. ✅ Took second place in the robotic skills team competition as a team of one. ✅ Reunited with some old colleagues. Thanks #ASC2022!

Another awesome conference! Learning a lot at #SSO2022 in Dallas. Has been great to reconnect with some of my legendary Yale Surgical Residency chief residents from my intern year and others from throughout my training!

It’s time for an overdose prevention center in CT. We should lead the nation in this effective approach to combating the opioid epidemic as we have led the nation in many harm reduction policies before. Read my thoughts on it in my New Haven Register op-ed!ctinsider.com/opinion/articl…

One of the most important things I’ve learned during my surgery research years is how to fight for patients outside of the hospital. Sometimes legislation can have a bigger impact on patients than anything I can do with a scalpel! Thank you to Dr. Kiki Kennedy for her mentorship.
