My two powers are I can make conversation with anyone & I am impervious to awkwardness. Today I used my powers to plonk down next to someone I knew wanted to avoid me, and blathered on & on as he grew increasingly uncomfortable but was too polite to leave. Petty but satisfying.

This is the same mindset as the woman who stood outside of Hamilton Hall demanding humanitarian aid. People desperately want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. They are envious that this will never be their life.

In March 2021, I measured classroom desks 6-feet-apart to the inch to comply with Dr. Varma’s COVID rules in order to get kids into school 2 days a week instead of 1. Meanwhile, Dr. Varma was partying it up. Adults can do what they want, but this is infuriating hypocrisy.

My extended family is so big & unwieldy that I just learned about a new cousin via IG Reel. I'm not even sure whose child this is, but I see one of my six great aunts in the video so I think this is a new third cousin (when you are Mizrahi third cousins are close family members).
