Last night, I assisted the 🇮🇲 Coast Guard IOMCoastGuard put up the RNLI Douglas flag on the Tower of Refuge in Douglas Bay. Tidal conditions allowed us to nip across to St Mary’s Rock on foot. Terrific views of the town. Many thanks to the Team; a very special visit.🇮🇲

World-renowned sculptor and printmaker Michael Sandle, who created the Douglas RNLI lifeboat bronze artwork has returned to visit the sculpture. The visit coincides with the release of an Isle of Man Post Office commemorative stamp collection, one of which, includes the memorial.
