A few years ago, I would never have advocated for more exams. But today, they feel like the only way to uphold equity and integrity in our education system.

I've spoken to 2 people in totally different sectors recently who've said that remote job interviews are now untenable due to AI. Candidates have a voice recognition AI listening to the questions and then read out the AI's answers.

We've got a really exciting new KS3 history assessment in development. It will use a blend of Comparative Judgement and AI to rapidly assess student writing. If you'd like to be the first to find out more details, register your interest here and we will be in touch.

An important report. As I've written repeatedly, you can't assume the national curriculum IS a precise guide to what gets taught. This report provides data on what is happening in history classrooms. I'd go even further: just knowing what gets taught isn't enough either.

Been thinking about this all day. With limited curriculum time it's all trade-offs and there's no right answer. But this is fascinating. Why the Wars of the Roses so much more than the Napoleonic Wars? Why so little on the union?
