Does it really still make sense to keep on racing? If for any reason tomorrow’s finale were to be cancelled as well, in the end two out of the three chances to do something for the GC in the third week would be gone. #LaVuelta25

That’s a very good point. The situation could really become worrying for them. I’m among those who think that putting the IPT riders in danger is wrong. I thought it was just common sense, but I’m afraid it’s no longer considered as such. #LaVuelta25

Regardless of what one thinks about the forms of protest, there is a fact to highlight: La Vuelta, the UCI, and cycling in general are “paying the price” for an issue on which only the IOC would have the possibility to intervene. #LaVuelta25

Yesterday’s climb was canceled because of the protesters, today’s climb is at risk due to strong winds… and UAE spent two weeks giving everyone freedom instead of focusing on Almeida’s race, since there were supposed to be opportunities in the third week. #LaVuelta25

There are so many things about this Vuelta that, as cycling fans, we’d rather just forget. And yet, the improvised podium ceremony with the 'steps of the podium' made out of boxes with the numbers scribbled on in marker, that is PURE CICLISMO. #LaVuelta25

Considering how things ended with UAE, and all the rumors that have been circulating over the past year, I find that a five-year contract for Ayuso with Lidl (source Dnlbenson) is quite crazy. Also true that they would never have found another stage-race rider of that level.

Total’s season has been more successful than one might think, with wins coming from 10 different riders. Jeanniere is curiously not among them, despite having shown to be a very strong sprinter: just in the last 20 days, he finished 2nd at Plouay and Wallonie, behind De Lie.

If this isn’t one of the greatest cycling performances I’ve ever seen in my life, then I don’t know what counts as a great cycling performance. #Kigali2025 #Remco

It’s always easy to blame Visma, but this time we’re talking about a 22-year-old who’s already gotten out of a team contract for the second time to move on. Sure, first it was Bora’s fault and then Visma’s, but the pattern is suspicious. #Uijtdebroeks

As an Italian fan of both football and cycling, it’s always amused me that a cyclist named Rui Costa won the World Championships right in Firenze. A solid and really strong rider. Congratulations on a fantastic career!

Kevin Vauquelin, who has never ridden the Giro, has more Grand Tour stage wins in🇮🇹 than Marcel Kittel, who has won 4 stages of the Giro.

So in less than six months, Skjelmose has gone from being the team’s present and future in stage races to a super-domestique. I just hope that at least in the Ardennes he’ll get his chances.

Unless I’ve missed something, we have a rough idea of the 2026 race programmes for most of INEOS Grenadiers key riders, but there’s been nothing about Carlos Rodriguez. Do we know anything about his recovery from the injury he suffered after his crash at the Tour?
