2024 was a busy year! This year, we hosted 3 events, published our biannual Status Report on Women & Girls+ with Women's Foundation of Minnesota, published 16 articles on The Gender Policy Report (The Gender Policy Report), and mentored three Gender Policy Report summer graduate fellows. #UMNProud

On October 15 of this year, the Center hosted the event "Sex Workers are Everywhere: Understanding Sex Work and Sex Worker Movements." Dr. Jayne Swift examined the sociolegal issues impacting sex workers and provided best practices to support students & others in the sex trades.

Our third and last event of the year 2024 was "Does Women’s Empowerment Improve Socioeconomic Outcomes?" where Humphrey’s Dr. Ragui Assad and Dr. Kathryn Yount from Emory University presented a report on the impact of global women’s empowerment on socioeconomic development.
