The third meeting of the Careers in Ag club was held Huron Tractor Ltd. We learned about all of the job opportunities within Huron Tractor and JD Canada. Thank you Julia Romagnoli for coming and speaking on behalf of John Deere USA and sharing you interview and resume tips.

This weeks meeting for the careers in Ag club brought many professionals into one room. Thank you to each of you for your time. The meeting ended with interview tips and how to prepare an elevator pitch.

Takes a lot of dedication and hard work to start up a creamery and I couldn’t be more proud of my sister!

Spent the day in Holland learning about Agriculture 😃

The last day of our Holland trip included a lot of Agri-tourism. One dairy farm had a restaurant where you ate in front of the feed ally. The other picked up elderly folk everyday to spend the day on the farm. Jeroens Oma goes to this farm once a week for the day ❤️

Thank you Hoegy's Farm Supply for hosting last nights Careers in Ag 4-H meeting. They encouraged members to try different positions in their summer jobs and commit to an attitude of continuous learning.

Our final Careers in Ag meeting was held Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd.. We had a tour and heard from Josh the Nutritionist, Derek Van De Walle the Vet and Christine Schoond. I was fascinated to hear that they have 50 trucks driving 24/7 and combined those trucks will drive around the world in 2 days.

Nearly a week ago we said goodbye to our home in Peffers. We milked cows there for 5 years. When we purchased the farm I had no idea how difficult it would be to say goodbye. We have so many wonderful memories of the farm, our first home. The community is what we will miss most.
