It's National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! Did you know that CU Safety communications operators answer thousands of calls annually and dispatch CUSERT, special constables, and other emergency resources on campus? Their work helps keep Carleton safe 24/7/365. Thank you!

Happy #NationalVolunteerWeek to all our CUSERT responders who have collectively volunteered 16,000+ hours this academic year. CUSERT is 100% student-volunteer-run and can only deliver 24/7 service and first aid classes thanks to our dedicated responders.

Today is #FirstRespondersDay! We’re privileged to collaborate with countless other first responders in Ottawa. We thank them for their dedication and service to our community!

Our newest recruits have been undergoing extensive training and will soon be ready to go on-call under supervision. CUSERT responders dedicate time each week to training, ensuring that our skills remain sharp and up to date.

Last weekend, 16 of our responders had the incredible opportunity to attend the annual NCEMSF conference in Pittsburgh. Throughout the event, our team engaged in a variety of lectures covering all aspects of campus emergency response. A huge thank you to NCEMSF for hosting us!
