The #Mariners payroll in 2017 was $160 million. With a very basic (and generous) average U.S. inflation rate of 2.6%, which is probably less than what it is in baseball, their adjusted payroll for 2025 should be $197 million. The fact they're projecting 150-155 is insulting.

I know 49ers fans are probably feeling like poop right now, so here's a stat to cheer them up: The Dallas Cowboys have won a Super Bowl more recently (1995) than the 49ers (1994).
