CU Hyperloop student team has powered up their TBM!

We made great progress in preparation for our dig. We already passed many important safety checks and are working to complete the rest. Huge thanks to Jewell Instruments who provided us with our inclinometers which have been instrumental to our machine’s navigation system.

We’re continuing to work hard and currently have passed the majority of our safety checks! As we get closer to Sunday we are closing and finishing up many parts of our machine. Huge thanks to Aldea for their support of the team.

Our 2025 test dig wrapped up, transforming our machine into a nearly fully functional system. We've tackled key challenges, gained valuable insights, and are more determined than ever for March’s competition. Exciting times ahead!

📢 Meet Vishnu! Our GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) expert, Vishnu, developed a way to navigate without GPS using an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). His work helps us track movement underground—where GPS can’t go. 🚀Way to go Vishnu!

Huge thanks to Sunbelt Rentals for supporting the CU Hyperloop team! 🙌 Their generosity provided essential equipment for our test dig, including a telehandler for easy transport, a generator for reliable power, and a Trash Pump for soil removal. We’re incredibly grateful!

Christian Green is a key part of our electrical team. Designing PCBs enables our software to control over 60 sensors and other components. ⚙️ He works extensively on our tunnel support system and our hexapod, driving digging and maneuverability. 🚀
