David Correnswet is a superb Man of Steel in Gunn’s SUPERMAN, but the film is a bit too messy, chaotic, and overstuffed with characters to the point of distracting us from the titular attraction. It’s a safely assembled and mostly entertaining universe starter, but not much more.

Gunn’s SUPERMAN makes creative mistakes, to be sure, but one thing that it unequivocally does well is relay the overwhelmingly altruistic nature of this hero. He’s an unendingly noble minded do-gooder. This film may lack discipline and is too scattershot, but it does have heart.

One thing that I liked about Gunn’s SUPERMAN was how he made Lex Luthor an absolute POS villain. He’s not a charming scoundrel like Hackman’s take, nor…well…whatever Eisenberg was aiming for. This Luthor is a thoroughly petty and loathsome being riddled with hate.

As to the question of a replacement program for those with the previous set, no word yet. But you MIGHT try contacting the studio via their customer service form. (I'd guess there's a good chance of getting the discs that way.)
