I don’t see how anyone can continue to back Arne Slot after watching performances like that. Had a 30 minute spell in the second half when they were the superior side but for the majority they were outclassed.

Hugo Ekitiké was correct in choosing to pass to Mo Salah over Florian Wirtz in this position. The pass was on earlier but look at the subtle movement from Abdukodir Khusanov as he adjusts towards the right. His momentum would’ve allowed him to stop Wirtz.

The level of Florian Wirtz’ performances contextualised with the quality of this Liverpool side is outrageous. He has already established one of the best synergies in the league with Ekitiké whilst not having a competent LW & a physically-poor Salah.
