🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 NHS Lothian & NHS Fife are definitely battling each other for top spot in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The PIs at both sites recruited patients late last night/during the early hours of this morning 👏🌟

What a milestone! The team at Cambridge Emergency Medicine Research recently recruited our 350th participant to the trial 👏 that makes 32 patients in total who have been enrolled at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS - thank you Addies ED 🌟 Susie Hardwick Kerry Meynell Katy Ritson emma clark

The CoMiTED team held an Investigator meeting yesterday in Birmingham - wow what a turnout (despite the storms!), with representatives from 19 of our sites attending 🤩 thank you for coming, it was fantastic to meet you all in person! 🤝🫶

We had a number of fab speakers, including Professor Fiona Lecky CURE who discussed the past, present and future of TARN (Trauma Audit & Research Network) & Dr Victoria Shepherd who talked about the inclusion of those with impaired capacity in research and CONSULT Study

We also heard from members of our teams including PIs, associate PIs and research nurses at EMROx - Emergency Medicine Research in Oxford, Fife EM, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust & NET Research. It was great to listen to their experiences of delivering CoMiTED and ED research in general and hear their tips for success! 👂💡

Heading into the new year, an incredible 3️⃣8️⃣5️⃣ patients have been recruited at hospitals across the UK! THANK YOU to our teams and all of the patients who have taken part so far 🫶. We finish recruitment to the trial at the end of January and are so close now! 🎯 #15togo

On Friday, the 400th participant was enrolled in the trial- a mere 8 hours before our recruitment period ended! 🙌We were absolutely delighted to meet our revised recruitment target 🎯 and are very thankful to the teams at our sites for all of their hard work and perseverance 🫶

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of the participants and their families who have been a part of the study, participating in the interests of those requiring care in the future 💙 We are looking forward to sharing the results with you all soon! 📊
