What is the best state in the US for beekeeping? I'm going to say California. I know for a fact it is not in New England.

We are going to start pitching our hive design to meaderies. We will get through even if I have to go on every tour and try every sample personally. I might just like mead.

Between April of 2020 and April of 2021 Massachusetts lost 58% of colonies. We personally lost 3 out of 5 colonies in our Langstroth hives over the winter. We are fixing this with the Colony Keeper. All of them are thriving and ready to go. #SaveTheBees

Its sad to say that our original test hive died off. 4 years with no mite treatment is a great accomplishment though. We wen through the brood and last of the bees and didn't find any signs of mites or deformed bees.

Taking a quick break

We have 7 hives set up at Bristol Aggie in Massachusetts for the students to research and learn from. We just went through all of them with no smoke needed. Healthy, calm, and quiet.
