Today we welcomed Lianne from Burnley FC in the Community, some of the neighbourhood Police team and Lancashire Fire and Rescue for another round of inspiring talks for Careers Week #ambition #collaboration #creatingopportunities

Thank you to Colne Fire Station who came to visit Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 today as part of #CareersWeek . They gave an excellent introduction to the job of a firefighter and the children got to experience some of the equipment they use.

This week we are supporting National Fire Chiefs Council drowning prevention and water safety week. We are raising awareness of the risk of accidental drowning to reduce the 277 preventable deaths that occurred in 2021 in the UK. #BeWaterAware

Firefighters and support staff across Lancashire held a minute's silence at 12 noon today to mark Firefighters' Memorial Day. We remember all our friends and colleagues who have lost their lives while protecting the public in the line of duty. #FirefightersMemorialDay

Today is also International Firefighters’ Day, set up in 1999 following the tragic deaths of five firefighters in an Australian bushfire. We honour them and remember with respect our fallen colleagues worldwide. #InternationalFirefightersDay
