Today we celebrate #Falklands Day and I’m thinking of my own wonderful time visiting a few years ago! We proudly celebrate the rich history, culture and communities of the #FalklandIslands and stand steadfast in defending the Islanders’ clear right of self-determination. 🇬🇧🇫🇰

Today, on VJ Day, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served. Their bravery secured peace for generations to come, and their legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy today.

Eighty years since VJ Day, we pay our respects to the many who fought, were captured, and made the ultimate sacrifice. Our country will always owe a great debt to those who fought for a better future.
