Delighted to announce "A Causal Perspective on Brainwave Modeling for Brain-Computer Interfaces (#BCIs)", accepted at Journal of Neural Engineering. A novel causal framework poised to serve as a guideline for the development of sophisticated BCI brainwave deep learning decoders.

In this work, we introduce a novel subject selection frame- work that blends ideas from discriminative learning (based on continuous wavelet transform) and graph-signal processing (over the sensor array).

In the experiment section, we incorporate our cutting-edge BrainWaveScattering-Net (iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…) alongside this framework to showcase improved outcomes, especially beneficial for subjects who initially showed suboptimal personalized performance.
