This morning, we had extensive level 3 radar outages and delays. The problem was with the National Weather Service data feed, and not us. Things seem to be back and stable now.

Hey everyone, So far, things have been running reasonably smoothly here, with just a few 5 second outages as I quietly reboot a server this summer. I hope yours is going well, and we are ready for you as hurricane season is here! -Gilbert

On 8/18/2025, the National Weather Service reprioritized it's data feed so that the following data are sent in this priority: 1. Text data/watches/warnings/advisories 2. All radar products 3. All satellite products 4. Everything else This should improve timeliness of our data.

On Wednesday, September 10, at 4:30 AM CT (9:30 GMT/Z), the campus network will be taken down for 20 minutes to patch one of our routers. Another similar outage will occur next week sometime TBD as we finish the upgrades to our other router. Data loss should be minimal. -Gilbert

A security patch broke our experimental pages early this morning. I scolded the patch to not do that again, or it's going into timeout! It said it wouldn't, and everything is now working again. Thank you for your patience. -Gilbert

Oh, Canada: The Canadian model data source changed on us and it also broke a variable. A fix for all of this has been implemented this morning, and we should have no further issues on our end. Thank you for your patience! -Gilbert

Sunday update: Our data source for Canadian satellite data is experiencing serious technical issues, and it affected our systems this evening; sorry about that. When that data source comes back up, we will resume production of Canadian imagery. US imagery is now working. -Gilbert
