Global language loss is not an inevitable, spontaneous process. It is the outcome of deliberate policies & practices that aim to eliminate diversity. In this sense, it is like Trump’s anti-diversity campaign, but played out in slow motion, at world scale. politicsrights.com/state-sovereig…

Fuck the The Thick of It, I want a black comedy about a Labour MP who spends the final days of the last Conservative Government giddy about how amazing a Labour Government will be, only to end up a suicidal alcoholic by the following Spring because of how Labour governs

'A Labour govt at either end of the M4 will make the difference' they said. Doesn't seem to be working out as planned. Westminster Labour govt is failing Wales. Welsh Labour seem incapable of standing up for Wales. It's time to vote for real change. #Senedd26 #GetGreensElected

As long as I live, I will never forgive the EU leaders who sat by and watched as this horror unfolded - not only unwilling to do anything meaningful to stop it, but who instead continued to reward Israel with preferential trade deals and staunch political support. Sickening.

Think it’s worth remembering, this Government has been refusing to refund public bodies in Wales over the NI increases which is effectively austerity by stealth, but is more than happy to allow Indian immigrants to not pay NI. Truly unbelievable.

At a WWII commemoration, the Dutch Minister of Defense asked, “Do we look away or stand up?”… right as protestors screaming Free Palestine were dragged out. He paused just long enough to watch them removed… then condemned Russia. Peak EU hypocrisy. Peak dystopia.

This strategy of only going after Labour and not really bothering to mention Reform at all is spot on. There are very few crossovers in the voter base between Plaid and Reform and, by hitting Labour rather than scaremongering, the campaign has this air of .. hope? 😬

Over last year I've been building a Senedd Election Simulator tool. It gives a useful (I hope!) visual explainer of how the new election system turns votes into seats. 🧵 on some of what it can do below: jaclarner.github.io/senedd_etholia…

Bad news for Nigel Farage. ITV Cymru confirm ahead of the Welsh election that any politician taking part in a TV leadership debate MUST be a candidate. This means Farage will not be able to take part unless he runs for the Senedd.

They will be in the mix I think next year. - an organisation like no other in wales. - Things are improving, by next year waiting lists etc will be well down. - labour cult runs deep with a lot and reform are a worry - Good news stories and funding will come online Bet ya

A classic medieval spoiling tactic - preempt the conclave by proclaiming your own Pope first. Rome is in checkmate. The next Pope will have to crush Augustine & his juvenile cronies quickly & without mercy - alienating a laity who regard children with affection - or risk schism

Only 25% of reform voters have *ever* voted Lab. It's overwhelmingly a Thatcherite base with the exception of a minority in places like s Wales. The more Lab tack right in their clumsy attempt to win over this caricatured voter, the more they alienate the rest of their base 🪦

He's right. Now its about what comes next; how Labour responds in Wales etc. I think we'll see money to deal with tips. We wont see more powers though.
