Can someone please explain the gradual replacement of the word ‘the’ for ‘thee’ (spelling for pronunciation purposes) also the word ‘a’ being replaced by the letter ‘a’ (ay) on news reports and radio stations. I love radio but my God is it grating on me. NewstalkFM RTÉ Radio 1
