Nah fr this the same CO tornado risk outline we’ve had the past 3 days Since it’s Father’s Day I’m gonna pass, unless some landspouts want to conveniently appear nearby 🫡

By the way that was one tornado. I saw some folks saying there were two but it never lifted. It was a little cinnamon bun not fully condensed for about 5 minutes.

Also, lost in all the “tornado of the decade” discussions is the “most exceptional tornado path ever” discussion I don’t think any other tornado has ever been documented with such an incredibly deviant looping track

I felt bad about not getting the opportunity to drop my tornado probe into this twister, but after seeing it wobble back and forth, I know trying to deploy in situ would have been damn near impossible 😳

Didn’t forecast the western NE corridor since I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it out there today, so when MCD #1318 depicted MUCAPE to 6,000J/kg, I figured a mesoscale accident was imminent. I almost didn’t believe that high of a value at first

It’s become clear that I just have weird preference in tornadoes because while I can appreciate a tall, bright white LP cone, I love an ominous, precip-orbited mess of subvortices and horizontal vortices dancing like an evil carousel Tho any tor with a good collar cloud is elite

I desperately need the CO storms to wait until I’m off of work tomorrow 😅
