Qualified hitters in Low-A this year who - Age 19 or younger - Struck out < 15% - Walked > 15% Ty Southisene.. That’s the list. #Cubs

Cannot be understated enough how much of a luxury it’s been for the #Cubs to have Mo Baller, Alcantara, and Caissie to mix and match in lineups due to injuries / matchups this second half. These guys would’ve played 162 on so many teams this year. Ultra-talented young crop.

Cade Horton of the Chicago Cubs is 8-1 over his last 11 starts. He has allowed just 6 total runs over that span. In the modern era, the only other MLB pitcher to have 8+ wins & 6 or fewer runs allowed over an 11-start span in a single season was Bob Gibson in 1968.

Before today’s game #Cubs Michael Busch had a 134 wRC+ on the season. 5th best among 1B. After today’s game it is now 141. Best among MLB first baseman.

As a ginormous prospect guy, I was always utterly dumbfounded at the amount of criticism hurled towards the #Cubs FO for using far-off, exciting prospects to target and acquire a young and MLB ready talent in Busch to fit into their current window. For moments like these, folks.

Tommy Hottovy, man. This guy deserves a ton of credit. He's been with the organization since 2014 as a run prevention coordinator...pitching coach since 2018. He broke ground on this Cubs "pitching infrastructure." He saw it through with several hirings of coordinators, coaches,

The worst part of the day off in between games is people convincing themselves that if Rea or Assad started instead of Boyd the #Cubs would’ve magically hit a rested Peralta and Brewers pen better. It was pretty much a scheduled loss on paper.

The Cubs had gone 4 years without playoff baseball, and down their two best starters while dealing with an injured Tucker, they have not only won a series, but are fighting against the team with the best record in the sport, and we’re still complaining.

Why do we criticize the #Cubs for not spending money, but then also get mad at them for spending money? Counsell was going to get this type of money from an org, but it was the Cubs who were the aggressor and acquired him. It’s gone pretty well so far..

Owen Ayers is your Arizona Fall League Hitter of the Week! The Chicago Cubs switch-hitting catcher went 5-for-11 with two doubles, a homer, four RBIs and two walks -- good for a 1.447 OPS. More: atmlb.com/4ohS2AN

The #Cubs really succeeded with an old, and option-less bullpen this year. With questions about many of these guys, and relievers in general being consistent year-to-year, one thing I feel strongly about is Eli Morgan has got to be a big factor in 2026.

Broke down Kazuma Okamoto at the end of this video! Looks like he *will* be posted. His zone contact is fantastic in NPB, but raw exit velocities don’t suggest huge power. Immediate impact type, whereas Murakami has to fix contact issues to be viable.

Looking for a #Cubs prospect breakout next season? After taking Cole Mathis in the 2nd round of the 2024 draft he’s largely flown under the radar due to a slew of injuries, but the analytical profile in college was very, very impressive.

Outside of the Tanner Scott offer the Cubs haven't gone after a top free agent reliever going back to Theo being in charge (besides Kimbrel in-season signing) Wasn't expecting them to suddenly change course this offseason.
