An update on the pup that caused quite a stir in our city over the weekend: Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our community, we safely captured the dog and reunited her with family. This brave pup, Bella, ran 22 miles over the course of a month and a half while missing.

A Chaska police officer rescued an 80-year-old woman from a house fire before firefighters arrived early Monday. A neighbor, who called 911, was outside directing first responders when Sgt. Hance noticed a fire under the home, and flames were starting to climb the air

April 28, 2025: A Level 4 risk of severe weather exists for much of central and southern MN & western WI. Very large hail, strong straight line winds, and a risk of large & violent long-lived tornadoes are all possible with afternoon & evening storms. Stay sky aware!

Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Chaska MN, Chanhassen MN and Waconia MN until 8:45 PM CDT. This destructive storm will contain wind gusts to 80 MPH!

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Carver and Hennepin until 8:45pm. This storm is moving east at 30mph and has a history of producing 80mph wind gusts. FOX 9

Current indications are that it has weakened some, but a signature for strong winds is present just above the surface & isolated severe wind remains possible.

Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution.

Traffic Alert - Bavaria Rd is closed between Grand Chavelle Pkwy and Francesca Dr. CenterPoint crews are making emergency repairs to a gas line. There is no access in or out of the neighborhoods off Adrian Dr. Repairs are expected to take a few hours, so use alternate routes.

There is a power outage impacting Downtown Chaska. Our electric crews are aware and are working on restoring power. We will provide an update when we have one.
