My hope for Google Business Profile in the new year: understand your markets better. I should not have to confirm the existence of historical local businesses via signage to, likely, third party customer support. Local search would be well served to have, well, better local representation.
It's amazing how poorly Google Business Profile serves businesses. Sticking by a "policy" that's filtering out a local institution because of "duplicative addresses" is not serving businesses or customers. They need to arm customer service with the ability to apply context to a situation.
I like when Google Business Profile fixes a problem, then the same problems appear and support can't address it because of policy. It's all rather confusing and not very helpful to businesses being impacted by these arbitrary policy enforcements.
