“You’re welcome, my love. You can keep it. Only,” before Nikolai kept the rest of the words to escape his lips, his eyes scanned the woman’s appearance from head to toe. Then, he returned to look at her right on her face, “If you join me for a drink.”

What an irrational amount of payment for a handkerchief, yes. But nothing held the man to give it a shot. Nikolai thought it could be a good idea to unwind a bit with this woman after that heavy conversation with one of his clients.
