We had such a good time this afternoon with the Castlebrae S2 Pupil's in our Battle of the Bands competition! Thanks so much to judges Niki and Jonnie from Tinderbox Collective and Kirsty from Edinburgh Food Social! Close competition but well done to winners 2C1 with Say My Name!

Some of the awesome work going on with Drake Music Scotland Digital Youth Orchestra Project in Castlebrae on Thursday evenings. This S6 pupil was so generous to let me film a sneak preview as she practised - we thinks they all sounds awesome together!

It's been a busy last week of term Castlebrae. We kicked off on Monday with a brass trio from our friends Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Carly, Elliott and Josh are awesome and had pupils from S1 - 6 entertained for an hour! Thanks guys! #rewards

Monday afternoon saw Castlebrae first ever Christmas Cracker and some of our chanter pupils performed their renditions of Jingle Bells. They have only been learning a few weeks, but we think they are doing great! Next step and 2025 - pipes! Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust - SSPDT

And the staff even had a go for the Castlebrae Christmas Cracker! They did an awesome job - I think we left the young people stunned #DreamTeam

Wednesday and Thursday saw the Castlebrae Castlebrae PE S1 & S2 Ceilidh with some Music staff forming a Ceilidh band. Always great fun! #HoldOnTightAndLeanBack is our moto!

Delighted to host Oi Musica with some of our very own Castlebrae students and the Tinderbox Collective Jammin' Band as the warm up act. What a sound and a room full of music making and joy! Always a please when Oi Musica and Tinderbox Collective musicians are in! Great end to a Tuesday!
