So far today we have had presentations on STEM glossary projects from Germany, USA, UK, Czech Rep, Canada (including Quebec) with more to come. Much overlap in the challenges but I’m picking up lots of ideas for ways to improve our glossary Dublin City University Senan Dunne

With a broken heart - Judy Heumann just passed away. Sending love and prayers to the world, with gratitude for the love, life lessons and empowerment she breathed into the disability rights movement around the world. First met Judy through my brother Mich…lnkd.in/gp4WJavn

Feeling so grateful for the opp to organize this #stemsignslexicon conference with Caroline Solomon and Christopher Hayes. Lots of amazing discussions on STEM sign language and the ethics, sustainability, and assessment tools. Working groups are being created to continue this collab!

#AAASmtg I need to say something. My experience was lousy y’all dropped the ball on deaf people. None of us connected with interpreters until the very last minute. #access stress is real And this is what underrepresentation looks like Big loss! We had good stuff to share

#AAASmtg has been a disappointing experience for us deaf STEMists. We were all excited to share the latest ideas and research and it went unrecognized. I understand Bonnielin Swenor PhD has been invited to advise AAAS and look forward to working with you.

At a presentation on addressing ablism and the speaker just asked the audience if everyone could hear them if they didn't use the mic. Good grief. #CantMakesThisUp
