All ready to welcome our Year 1 and Year 2 families for our second Parents as Partners in Learning Workshop - Read to Succeed Chantel Simon @WoodwardMadi1 Carley Lynch Emily Harvey-Latham

Year 1 & Year 2 students were so excited to read with their families during our ‘Read to Suceed’ Parents as Partners in Learning workshop today. Parents learnt how to respond to reading errors and give effective feedback to their child when reading at home.

So wonderful to see over 80 mums and dads joining in our reading workshop this morning. Here @WoodwardMadi1 is assisting families in understanding how to blend sounds together to read words. Our boys and girls were superstars!

During the workshop Carley Lynch and Chantel Simon did some acting to demonstrate how families could use some of the strategies learnt in the session while they are reading with their child. They also modelled what not to do which our families and students really enjoyed.
