Happy 80th birthday Sir Chay Blyth, first person to sail single-handed non-stop westwards around the world (1971). We hope you have a brilliant day, albeit a socially distanced one. #oceansailing #challengebusiness #BTGC #GlobalChallenge #sailors #sailing #adventureofalifetime

It is a privilege to call the ocean my office and my playground. I have seen the pollution in the world's oceans and with Turn the Tide on Plastic, we have the scientific proof to support the microplastic problem we have to tackle. #WorldOceansDay #ProtectOurHome

It is with great sadness that we record the passing on 9th April of our Patron, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He joined the IACH in the 1960s as an Honorary Member and became our Patron shortly after the first Whitbread Round the World Race in 1973/74.
