Officially handed in my first assignment at masters level last night and due to officially start my second assessed placement next week! Time flies in a #PGCE year it seems but I am learning so much from some amazing teachers and lecturers! York St John University

Worked with a few y1 children today to write some describing words for a rocket as part of their space theme (and my appraisal) today! And we ended our lesson doing some matching activities and writing a sentence to go with it! #teachertrainer #PGCE

A little blurry but this is how I spent part of my afternoon at school today. In the theme of 'The Tiger who came to Tea', I became 'The Lion that crashed the Tea Party'! Never thought I would be doing this as part of my #PGCE but it was great fun! #teacher #KS1 #studentteacher

In a double tweeting mood this evening: I have also just handed in my final written assignment for my #PGCE ! Just 1 presentation to go!

Created this big critter as a thank you to my current school mentor, last day tomorrow before heading back to my lead school and I wanted to say thank you to my mentor for all the support she's given me! Very proud of this project! 😊 #crochet #PGCE

Very excited to have been accepted onto the inclusive practice in education masters with Carnegie Education! Looking forward to returning to Leeds Beckett for my next step in my academic journey!

Up later than I probably should be but it is my last day of my placement tomorrow. It's been hard work but I have risen to the challenge, going from an eye-opening first week of SE1 to surpassing SE3 expectations in many areas of my continuum this week. Very proud of myself!

So today I accepted my first #teacher job in a year 2 classroom! I am so happy and proud of myself!

I forgot some trainers at my placement school so went in to pick them up today. I walk into the classroom to a shout of "Miss Joyce!" as my old class see me. It was a nice reminder and boost that I can build these great relationships in such a short space of time #teacher #PGCR

Not the best handwriting for the notes but I have enjoyed working through some online lectures for second year of masters with Leeds Beckett! Starting to think about my dissertation and enjoying learning about new research so closely linked to my new job as a SEN teacher!
