Little Owls and Kestrels were treated to two visits last week. Amy from Nurturing Minds came to help the children learn about how emotions make them feel and then the RNLI visited to teach the children how to keep safe at the beach.

This Common Toad is playing havoc with our habitat work as despite several relocations, Little Owls' wellies appear to be a favoured location!

Never one to miss an opportunity, Miss Webb has been working with our very enthusiastic toad-spotters to create some signs. Our toad-spotters are trying to encourage the toads into a home they have built as an alternative to their wellies.

An amazing variety of heroes on display for our Diversity Awareness Day - brilliant to see so many family members being represented and even a couple of teachers. Thanks to Mrs Seymour/Frida Kahlo for organising the day and to all the parents who have worked on the costumes.

Once 'Miss Willett' had finished the register, Sparrowhawks got straight on to finishing their DT projects creating their own game and packaging.

I'm not saying Bury is the BEST school in the world...spending the penultimate day of term Bignor Roman Villa Maze before embarking on a 2-and-a-half mile walk back to school through the beautiful South Downs is pretty hard to beat. The maze designer set off 1st youtu.be/lhhmnNlKFc8

Mr Finch from The Big Education Conversation is busy working with some of Buzzards ahead of their community discussion this afternoon. The children have delighted in giving Mr Finch a tour before getting stuck into their work learning to facilitate the conversation later.

Our Open Day for prospective parents is only two days away. The weather forecast does not look great, so don't forget your waterproofs so that the children can show you all of what our school has to offer. A little water doesn't put us off at Bury as demonstrated here by Mr Moore

Big Education Conversation Roadtrip: Day Two. I can see the sea! I'm at Bury CE Primary nestled in the South Downs not far from Arundel. A cracking meeting with pupils and community members, led by children from Yesr 5 and 6. Beautiful insights from wise community members.

Buzzard did a fantastic job welcoming our local community into school to discuss the Big Education Conversation with Ed Finch today. Thank you to Buzzards for leading it, Ed for supporting it and to the community who attended and shared their views.

Today, Buzzards have been busy working hard with artist, Darrell Wakelam creating the initial layers for our new class name sculptures. Tomorrow, the rest of the school will be working with Darrell to complete the works.

We were lucky enough to work with Darrell over two days to create some new artwork for each class. Every child from Yr R to Yr 6 has worked on them under Darrell's excellent guidance.
