Do you think 343 even realised that these 2 being genuine friends is basically on the same level of historical significance as the elites siding with humanity in Halo 2? Why do 343 games always introduce interesting stuff & then discard it before it can be actually delved into?

I hate it when a story briefly establishes that two people from historically opposing factions ended up becoming friends and then it just never gets explored because the writers wanted to focus on the much less interesting main story instead
