Citizens deserve a return on investment for every tax dollar spent. Sadly, right now, there is little to none. Any funding to NGOs should be based on achieving specific metrics, with their performance publicly available.

The fact that this is true should infuriate people.

If you oppose auditing a program that is funded by taxpayer money, you are endorsing fraud and theft of taxpayer money. Worse, you are allowing resources to be diverted from those who should be helped by these problems. All taxpayer funded programs should be regularly audited.
