Barrington Lake, Shelburne County, wildfire update: The fire is out of control, covering 19,000 hectares. 50 DNRR firefighters, 40 volunteer firefighters and four helicopters are one scene.

From hfxgov: In addition to the Province's wooded area restrictions, the municipality is closing wooded areas of municipal parks and all municipal trails as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31. Parks such as Shubie Park, Point Pleasant Park and Admiral Cove Park will be fully closed.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of John Hollins. Our Player of the Year in 1981/82, John was also a European Cup Winners' Cup finalist in 1980 and was awarded an MBE in 1982. John scored 13 times in 173 games with us. Rest in peace ❤️
