What is #OpenStreetMap ? It's not JUST a map. Plus we're hearing about OpenStreetMap the UK CIC, and the benefits of local knowledge in mapping #BristolOpenData

Just hearing about the made up 'trap streets' that the A to Z added to their maps, that are streets that don't exist - a way for them to know if people are copying their maps without permission! 🤯 #BristolOpenData

Hearing from Neil about what we need to get going on #OpenStreetMap. 1) Switch off your computer and go for a walk! 2) You need your brain, a phone, and maybe some wellies :) #BristolOpenData

#OpenStreetMap has no ontology - this makes it maybe less immediately straightforward to interpret, but creates a very low barrier to entry for those who wish to add things. #BristolOpenData
