The CM directed officials of Water Resource department to depute an expert team to study the strength and weakness of embankments in Majuli. Officials were asked to engage local youths for increasing tourist inflow and develop tourism infrastructure in the island district.

CM Shri Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for construction of permanent office complex of Brahmaputra Board at Bongaon, Majuli. The CM also laid the foundation stone for construction of sanitation facilities at Kamalabari & Aphalamukh ghat.
