Check out our latest study, in which we evolved E. coli to use a non-canonical D-arm-less tRNA using a novel vitamin-based selection system. This revealed a surprising flexibility in the bacterial translation machinery. Good job Martin & team! doi.org/10.1093/nar/gk…
