Day 24 : Bass Reeves (1838-1910): Reeves was one of the first African American Deputy U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River. He was known for his skills as a lawman and is believed to have arrested over 3,000 felons during his career. #BHM

Day 25 - Matthew Henson (1866-1955): Henson was an Arctic explorer who accompanied Robert Peary on seven voyages to the Arctic over a period of 23 years. He was part of the team that claimed to be the first to reach the geographic North Pole in 1909. #BHM
