What does the social network structure of an entire country's population look like? Our new paper by Bokányi Eszter, Eelke Heemskerk and Frank Takes in Scientific Reports dissects the anatomy of the network of formal ties binding 17.2M individuals in The Netherlands. nature.com/articles/s4159…
In our new paper in Demography Journal we count all observable kinship relations in contemporary Sweden using register data. We use linked parent-child records to estimate counts of kin such as cousins, grandparents, and grandparents. doi.org/10.1215/007033… (open access)
