We’ve got an exciting summer coming up! Part of this is taking our concert ‘I Heard a Voice’ to three wonderful churches. Including one at the other end of the country! Friday 21 June - 6As of Blanchland project Friday 28 June - RichmondHudswell Saturday 17 August - #AllSaintsOdiham

6th June will be 80 years since the D-Day landings, with national commemorations - Blanchland will join in with the nations church bells ringing & beacons lit, along with our ‘Doves of Peace’ in the Abbey. Hang a dove on the Abbey's tree - donations to the Army Benevolent Fund.

Our archaeology excavations got off to a great start yesterday - lifting the flags & opening up some trenches. Already a few discoveries of glass & metal, with a shroud pin being the star find of the day. If you're in the village, have a look over the church wall/gate.

Friday 21 June - Vox Populi 'I Heard A Voice'. We think their voices will sound amazing in the Abbey! Classical singers with a wide repertoire, from early Renaissance works to modern choral arrangements of contemporary songs. Free to attend, donations welcome on the night.

This Friday evening 7pm - Vox Populi will fill Blanchland Abbey with their amazing singing voices. Come along for an evening of beautiful choral song. No booking, donation on the evening. (No Wi-Fi for card payments, so please bring cash for refreshments and donations).

Saturday 11.30am - White Monks return to Blanchland! Father Thomas, Prior of St Mary's Priory, Muston, Yorkshire, will be celebrating mass, probably the 1st Norbertine mass since the Abbey's dissolution in 1539. Accompanied by Father Martin & 13 associates. Everyone welcome.

On Saturday, 10 August 2024, Father Thomas, Prior of St Mary’s Priory, Muston, Yorkshire, and his fellow Premonstratensian cannons celebrated mass in Blanchland Abbey. This was probably the first Norbertine mass since the Abbey was dissolved by King Henry VIII in 1539.
