Just been confirmed for Maine’s Acadia Birding Festival (deets at steveburrows.org/news-events). Such a fantastic location, boreal forest full of warblers and Atlantic seacoast birds, too. Me and puffins all in one place. Are you serious? Can you OD on cuteness, I wonder.

Enjoying some home time before a crazy schedule kicks off to promote A Nye of Pheasants. Wondering if all these personal appearances I’ve lined up will impact book sales. Resa says almost certainly, but as long as I don’t stay too long, things should pick up again afterwards.

My writing has brought me many rewards, but nothing quite like the news that my grandson has chosen my book as his Independent Study novel for English class. What an honour! Who said grandkids aren't interested in the stories their grandparents have to tell!

Oh mighty creator, if you want everyone in North America to rush out and buy A Nye of Pheasants when it comes out on April 9, please give them some sort of sign the day before. I’m thinking like maybe have the sun disappear for a while and make it go dark. Just an idea.

Just back from the signing at Indigo, Oshawa. Thanks to all involved in setting it up, and to all those who attended. Sold lots of books, introduced some new people to the series, and even found this pretty lady reading A Nye of Pheasants (she set up the display, too)! Great day
