On November 24th, Lucka Pestova participated in the student scientific conference at UCT (fcht.vscht.cz/veda-a-vyzkum/…). With her work on Optical biosensors for the investigation of biomedical polymer carriers for drug delivery, Lucka won second place. Congratulations!

Marketa Bockova and Tomas Springer attended the 17th Czech Annual Cancer Research Meeting in Olomouc (cancermeeting.cz), organized by NICR. They presented our research focused on applications of plasmonic biosensors in oncohematology and drug delivery.

It was a great honor to show our team research to the Minister for #Science #Research and #Innovation Helena Langšádlová and share with her our views and experience in a round table discussion.

Our team was participating of the #PragueMeeting on #TumorTherapy and Imaging which took place on 20-21 of March on the #IMCH. Tomáš Špringer presented the contribution about monitoring of #drugrelease from polymeric carriers.

Our PhD students, Jan Bukáček, Zdeněk Garčic, and Tong Liu, presented their research on #plasmonic #biosensors at the Optics + Optoelectronics 2023 conference in Prague, hosted by SPIE. They had a great time interacting with other participants and discussing their posters.

Congratulations to our postdoc Jiří Slabý on receiving the Best Paper Award 2022 of the Ústav fotoniky a elektroniky Akademie věd ČR. We have received the research project supported by U.S. National Science Foundation and #GACR, focused on the optical biosensor platform for the simultaneous detection and quantification of exosomes and their contained biomarkers. Four of our Ph.D. students presented their research focused on #plasmonic and #electrochemic #biosensors at #Europtrode XVI conference. Besides work they also enjoyed a lot of fun and beautiful campus of Uni of Birmingham.

Excited to announce that our most recent results on photoswitchable interactions monitored with SPR biosensors have been presented by our PhD student, Giusy Finocchiaro, at the Czech Annual Cancer Research Meeting (CACRM) in Olomouc! Congrats!

Our PhD student Jan Bukacek is currently on an internship at Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovations of Université de Sherbrooke, Canada. In the LN2 team, they are working on the topics of SPR imaging and microscopy, design of plasmonic nanostructures and their fabrication.
