It’s no small thing that Albert Pyun’s true vision is finally available to be seen by the masses. In his final days he received the overdue love & appreciation from his fans the world over. Wish he could’ve see us enjoying his art on the bIg screen one last time. RIP

The resident A4E Pyun expert here. Albert's version of Captain America is a director's cut on par with Kingdom of Heaven. A studio hatchet job gets transformed into a melancholic meditation about the worst case of PTSD ever. Absolutely beautiful

And justice for Matt Salinger. The version rests heavy on his shoulders and he's more than up to the task. I've spent years thinking he was the biggest problem with the movie but I could not have been more wrong. I didn't hate the theatrical version ever but I kind of do...

now because it's just another reminder how anti-art the people paying for art can be. A film about loss and regret from a director who sadly had too much experience with both things.

Was moved nearly beyond words with what they do in The Pyun Cut. Decades long PTSD experienced in mere weeks by Steve Rogers as the past he once knew crumbles around him by either death or being forgotten all while living in a stranger, more complicated world. It's incredible.

The Pyun cut of Captain America was something special. A somber take on the character that really affected me mentally. Beautiful film.

Impossible to review this objectively as a Pyun fan and even more-so seeing it with like minded fans. One of the most earnest and heartbreaking screenings I’ve been a part of. Seeing Albert’s vision of this film that he loved on the big is an experience I will never forget.
