Our kids earned their first Fun Friday movie! This week, multiple parents have told me that their kids have come home for the first time saying they've made friends who are like them and they want to go to school! DE classes have an essential place in TVDSB 🤍✨

In our class, we have 35 different bins filled with educational toys. Students are assigned 2 bins a week. They switch out weekly. We call it ‘Quiet Table Tops’ & for 20 minutes, the kids play & explore their bins to foster independent play, fine motor skills & creativity!

I can't think of a better way to practice our describing words! Their clues blew me away! “It's a farm animal,” “It's pink,” and the winner, “It's not halal, so I wouldn't eat it, but maybe you do?” followed by an excited “A pig!?”

This is awesome 👏🏼 I see a project in my students future 🔮

Shanah Tovah - happy Jewish new year! 79 years ago, my great-grandmother, Lily Ebert, was in Auschwitz-Birkenau on Rosh Hashanah. Today, at 99, she celebrates with 37 great-grandchildren. We hope that we can all have a sweet new year, full of health and happiness. 🍯🍎🍏
