Absolutely gutted to hear that legendary Shore Conference coach Denny D'Andrea passed away this morning. His wrestling stories are legendary, and often hard to believe, but all true. He was one of a kind. Condolences to Coach D's family, friends, and all of his former wrestlers.

Coach D'Andrea is the only head coach to win a Shore Conference Tournament Title with 2 different programs, leading Manalapan in 1981 & 1982, and St John Vianney in 2018. He won a dozen more as assistant to Tony Caravella and the Brick Memorial dynasty.

Gutted to get the news that Shore Conference wrestling coaching legend Denny D’Andrea passed away this morning. A one-of-a-kind human being. Stern and in your face but with a heart of gold. He truly cared about the kids and would do anything to help them succeed. I knew Dr. D

Denny D was truly of the biggest icons in shore conference WRESTLING and shore conference Sports. He would always reach out after a big win and more so after a bad loss. Even competing against him as a jag he would offer words of encouragement and even suggestions. RIP Denny D

The BM family is mourning the passing of Coach Denny D’Andrea. He was an instrumental force behind the building & success of the wrestling program. He will be remembered for his larger than life personality, dedication to his wrestlers, & his impact on the sport in the SC. 🙏🏻
