Sanity at last. Hopefully the reconfigured vegetation in the area is being fulsomely irrigated with Verderers’ tears.

I’ve only just found out that name of the beak who originally blocked this review was Justice Lane. SURELY this cycle lane has to be named in his honour, your honour? I’m off for a ride down Justice Lane—who’s with me?

Funny how the hypotheticals nearly always portray the speed limit as safe and anything above it as dangerous. How about you were doing 30 and hit the child, but had you been doing 25 it would have been fine? An unpalatable message, presumably.

In which Hampshire County Council first misappropriate a Dutch design for the wrong type of road, leave it for a few years, and then repaint only the central lines, leaving a dangerously ambiguous mess. Is there a (crap) cycle lane being left to rot, or no cycle lane at all? Total shambles.

There’s the answer, then. documents.hants.gov.uk/transport/TG10… Problem is, the road doesn’t currently read well: it’s very open to interpretation. Though to be honest, given how poor it was when freshly painted, I’m not sure how much of an issue that is.

The thing I dislike most about EDF 🇬🇧 repeatedly billing me for gas that I don’t use, is that the only way to get them to do anything about it is to come on here and moan publicly, which then inevitably makes me see loads of utterly infuriating posts from ignorant gobshites.

Final letter from EDF 🇬🇧 in which they offer condolences a year after I informed them of a death and, after regular attempts to overcharge me, offer their help only now that there is no more help to offer. Their bereavement “process” is unfit for purpose from start to finish.

Done with 30 minutes to go 😂 Finally completed the online form about the road proposal and sent the 30 page (!) fuller version by email. Reacquired part of the itch to build a data visualisation tool for STATS19… I suspect I will be too lazy or distracted (again).

Clearly attending one of the properties on this bit of road, all of which have large driveways. But the stupidest thing is that this causes as much disruption to motor vehicles as simply parking wholly in the carriageway, so walkers and wheelers get screwed for no-one’s benefit.

Also witnessed this morning: someone driving across the locally notorious fatal crossroads with side windows completely (and windscreen mostly) obscured by frost. Yet we let people drive for up to 53 years until we even consider checking whether they might not be fit to drive.

Always a bit sad when someone you like comes out with One Of Those Posts 🙁 People are actually *taught* to ride two-abreast and middle-of-lane in many circumstances, for good reason: it discourages drivers from squeezing through what would otherwise be dangerously small gaps.
