Our aquaculture group is taking a bold step. With our support, these women are not just learning about fish farming they’re preparing for pond construction to launch their own sustainable aquaculture units. These are refugee and IDP women turning challenges into opportunities.

One of the biggest challenges raised by the women is feeding. Fish feed is expensive, and local alternatives are scarce. But this is exactly why we train to not just teach methods, but to co-create local solutions with the women who understand the limits and the land.

There is power in practical exposure. The visit to a working fish pond has opened up more than curiosity; it has sparked a vision. We’re here to support that vision with knowledge, connection, and the resources to make it happen pond by pond. #BetterLifeInYumbe #AquacultureHope

Every question the women asked; about pond depth, stocking density, feed alternatives was layered with intention. Not curiosity for curiosity’s sake. But curiosity backed by hunger to build, to start, to own something. They came to learn 📍Yumbe District

We’re proud of how boldly the women in our poultry track engaged, questioning, calculating, and comparing what can work in a settlement context. This is how training becomes transformation. #BetterLifeOnTheGround #PoultryFarming

What if the land you stand on could feed your family, create income, and heal the environment all at once? That’s not a dream. It’s what we’re building in Yumbe District, one garden at a time. We’re working alongside women to develop climate-smart horticulture systems. #hope
