Just two weeks ago this was lined with trees and thick bramble. Birds were nesting and even one or two harvest mice nests hung deeply in the grass. Now all that is left are the fractured wood splinters and an overpowering lack of birdsong. #nature #feelingbroken #wildlife

It's really depressing to see such destruction by HS2 at Calvert Jubilee nature reserve - a site that's been under our management control since the mid-1970s, and that should be protected from this kind of devastation.
