Spend far too much time playing games and eating food I shouldn't. Sometimes manage people and products. Occasionally climb rocks.

Saving this for next time Auckland Transport tells me that they can’t protect pedestrians, cyclists or our public spaces with bollards because of reasons.
Looking around the world over the past week and then re-reading this thespinoff.co.nz/politics/14-07… is rage inducing and heartbreaking all in one. Lost faith in Auckland Transport a long time ago but had some hope for Auckland Council. Now I just want to tear it all down.
The mismanagement here by KiwiRail and Auckland Transport is mind blowing. In Kyiv, Ukraine they are apologising for 10 min trains during war (our best frequency) and we are shutting entire lines in our network for months/years. Less than two years after the last mess.
We're now at the pointy end of what Simon Evans called "the ski slope of missed opportunity". 1.5C is still technically feasible, in that we know what's required of us and how to do it. But we're fast approaching - maybe already past - the point where it's no longer realistic.
Credit where credit is due, rode Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai (the path of land and sea) to get to rock climbing today and it’s awesome. Nice work Auckland Transport, much more of this please. 12.5km on the bike each way in around 30-35 mins.
Austerity economics do not work - this has been proven repeatedly. Yet that's what Auckland Council, Mr Brown and Hon. Maurice Williamson 🇳🇿🐶🐈 are planning. But perhaps worse public services, actually slowing down the economy and widening inequality are exactly what they want to do?
After 16 years I'm saying goodbye to Twitter. Hopefully one day it's run by a reasonable human being again, rather than a meglomaniac karen. Until then, thanks, ya'll were great! I'm @[email protected] over there, but not sure I'll use it. Less social media can only be good.
