Bolnhurst: The Plough Inn seems originally to have been the farm house of a farm called Brayes, held with the Manor of Backenho in Thurleigh. The manor was owned by Edward, Duke of Buckingham who was executed for high treason in 1521 by King Henry VIII. (2 of 3) #FamilyHistory

Bromham: Sir Lewis Dyve was born at Bromham hall on 3rd Nov 1599. He was baptised in the church on 25th Nov 1599, one of his godmothers, the Countess of Warwick sent Mrs. Boteler of Ford End as her deputy, a family with whom the Dyves had a bitter feud. (2 of 4) #FamilyHistory
